Though Still Kicking, Blago Senate Nominee Burris Has Erected Mausoleum Engraved with His Entire ResumeThe Associated Press reports that Roland Burris, the man appointed to replace Barack Obama as an Illinois Senator, has erected a grand mausoleum for himself, carved with the words "TRAIL BLAZER" and a long list of his accomplishments, with a space left for his more recent achievements. The etchings record not just such notable accomplishments as being the first black national bank examiner for the U.S. Treasury Department, but, among other things, that he was the first black Southern Illinois University exchange student to the University of Hamburg in Germany.
